NaNoWriMo's Coming Up!

If you don't already know, November is National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo for short. This program "is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (formerly known as the Office of Letters and Light) that believes your story matters" and provides writers young and old with the inspiration and motivation to write a 50,000 word novel in a month, spurred by the support of an involved community and the weekly peptalks of guest writers. While the word count might seem staggering, the average daily muscle needed to achieve the goal only amounts to about 1,667 words. To take part, visit the NaNoWriMo website and join writers from across the nation in killing your inhibitions (and inner editor). Even if you'd rather not get a book out of the deal, NaNoWriMo is an abundant resource for inspiration and motivation and definitely worth checking out!
